§ 22-415. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Arborist shall mean any person certified as an International Certified Arborist (ISA) or other equivalent professional certification or who by a combination of experience and education meet the requirement to the satisfaction of the council.

Park trees shall mean trees in public parks and all areas owned by the town or to which the public has free access as a park.

Street trees shall mean trees lying between property lines on either side of all streets, avenues, or ways within the town.

Trees — large shall mean trees attaining a height of 45 [feet] or more at maturity.

Trees — medium shall mean trees attaining a height of 30 to 45 feet at maturity.

Trees — small shall mean trees attaining the height up to 30 feet at maturity.
